Clean Job, 2011

The installation is a large, gutted teddy bear with the stuffing spilling out all over the floor, reminiscent of the results of the curiosity of children, the inevitable destruction of toys which follows their playful investigations into how things work. The sight of the teddy’s polyester innards spilling out is anything but gory; rather, we see laid bare before us an interior that we rarely give any consideration and experience the satisfaction of something, which as adults we would not allow ourselves to do.
