One Hour Priority, 2000

One Hour Priority was a performance in which the artist subversively interfered in the traffic order, without at the same time breaking any laws. Using the rule that at roundabouts the circulating traffic has priority over the entering traffic, Ivan Moudov drove in circles for one hour on a busy roundabout in the center of Sofia. The roundabout became a kind of merry-go-round for the artist, who was able to drive uninterruptedly for an hour, while making it impossible at times for coming cars to enter the traffic. Inside the car, it was a smooth and joyful ride, with the latest hits on the radio, the artist clearly enjoying his moment to be “the right person at the right time”.
