Right Occasion, 2016

Right Occasion is a performance consisting of the opening of a solo exhibition by Ivan Moudov in an art institution. At the opening, the curator gives a speech in which she or he talks about the concept, the choice of works, the questions these works raise, while describing some of them. The public soon realizes that the exhibition space is empty, as none of the works actually exist. They are only ideas for works. The speech of the curator is the main focus of the event; it is in the speech and subsequently in the imagination of the public that the exhibition takes place and form.
