Stones, 2013

Stones was a site-specific installation at Casa Cavazzini – Museo di Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Udine. The artist removed all the gravel covering the courtyard of the museum, placing polyurethane foam panels 20 cm below the ground, then returning the gravel back on top of them. The ground under the feet of the people crossing the courtyard became unstable, their feet sinking into the gravel, the pebbles filling their shoes. The visit to the museum became literally a destabilizing experience, changing the viewers perception. It materialized the saying that “art gives you something special”.
