Turkish Sushi is a performance in the form of a TV cooking show. As part of his contribution to the 2d International Antakya Biennial in Turkey, the artist was invited to participate in a local TV morning program. The performance addressed the question of differences and similarities through the appearance of food - the visual resemblance between Japanese sushi and the Turkish sarma, both made of rice rolled in a dark green leave. Not a very good cook himself, Ivan Moudov recipe was unexpected but simple - he prepared the sushi by just opening a can of tinned sarma, cutting and arranging the rolls in the form of sushi and serving it with pickled ginger, wasabi and soy sauce.
