Although formally varied and spanning from 2006 to 2013, the works in the Purple Section have a common denominator: a journey through the world of every- day objects. By intervening in everyday objects and transposing them into gallery settings, Moudov blurs the line dividing life and art. In his transformations of normally ignored everyday objects into art objects Moudov does not follow in the tradition of the ready- made, but deprives the items of their original function and form by exposing their insides and revealing what is otherwise invisible or, for most, uninteresting.
